Are you an experienced Full Stack Developer, with the skills and drive to deliver innovative & exciting software design and functionality? In a strategic move to focus our products entirely on digital and virtual learning solutions, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join our in-house Development team working alongside the Senior Developer and Commercial team.

  • The role will be split over two key areas, firstly serving as the in-house expert on all areas of Development, with Front End development bias you will work closely with the Senior Developer and entire Software Development team on technical design, architecture, specification, and build of our eLearning suite and platform.

  • You will also act as Project Manager, managing the technical project portfolio, developing the relationship between commercial and technical to ensure products including our Workplace DNA® AI-driven SaaS application are designed to meet customer requirements, delivered on time and in line with our core Values of Trust, Innovation and Excellence. 

This is not your everyday technical development role.  Unique in its requirements combining strong technical capabilities, especially around UI and UX, coupled with the skills and knowledge in delivering business critical projects through strong project management methods and commercial awareness.  The ability to take a strategic view of projects, their milestones and markers and the ability to remain close to all key stakeholders, including customers and end users, is essential. The role would suit an individual whose technical skills are first class and as broad as they are deep, and are equal to their desire to deliver successful and commercially sound outcomes whilst striving to develop quality and growth.

Role requirements:

  • Proven skills in creative thinking and problem solving ideally within a creative and forward-thinking software environment is essential to support our ambitious plans.  

  • Experience in communication with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

  • Strong Front End development capabilities in UX and UI

  • Experience in all areas of software development, inc HTML5, CSS Javascript Bootstrap 4/5, Javascript frameworks, GIT & SaaS

  • A team player who can both compliment and develop further our positive culture, practices and people.

  • A strong advocate of knowledge share practices to help support and develop the capabilities of the Development team

  • Customer facing experience, both on customer engagement and design through to continued support and troubleshooting.

The role will play an active part in supporting and mentoring our team of front-end/full-stack developers using your extensive knowledge, experience, and coaching techniques.  We are focused on developing and growing a full stack development team through the implementation of Agile working and project management and this role will play a huge part in shaping this.   We need someone who can really set and drive excellence and improvements and deliver against our company Values of Trust, Innovation and Excellence.

This is a full-time role within our development team, reporting into the CEO and with Line Management responsibility of the Development team.
