Young Workers

Young workers are those who are above normal school leaving age but under the age of 18.

Young workers are also provided with additional rest breaks, enhancing what the Working Time Directive allows:

Young workers breaks are as follows:

• A rest break of 30 minutes when working in excess of 4.5 hours
• A daily rest of 18 hours
• A weekly rest of 48 hours.
