New Acas guidance on recruitment and induction

Employment advisor ACAS has issued new guidance to businesses to help them ensure their recruitment and induction processes are fair and robust.

This new guidance provides employers and managers with practical advice on how to successfully run a recruitment or induction programme and includes free tools, templates and check lists.

ACAS CEO, Anne Sharp, said:

“Our free online guides will help employers understand how to get recruitment and induction right. If the process isn’t managed properly employers could face a costly Employment Tribunal, and with average costs to employers around £5,000 every time they recruit a new member of staff, it can be particularly hard hitting for smaller businesses. So it’s worth investing the time and resources to help businesses grow.”

While the guidance is produced for UK employers, the principles provide a blueprint for businesses with global operations.

International Workplace provides expert training on employment relations in line with ACAS guidelines, with courses on recruitment and selection, equality and diversity and resourcing talent.

Courses can be delivered inhouse or via elearning, and can be customised for your business. Please contact Tom Kirby for more information on +44 (0) 871 777 8881.
