New Head of EHS at International Workplace

We’re delighted to welcome Stacey Collins to International Workplace, who joins us as our new Head of Environment, Health and Safety on 20 February 2017.

Stacey joins the business after 15 years at law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP where, as Health, Safety and Environment Manager he developed management systems for health and safety and environment successfully certified to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management standards. Stacey managed client side H&S on a £24m 18-month refit of Freshfields head office: on time, under budget, with zero accidents. Stacey’s approach to health, safety and environment is “can do”.

In a career spanning 22 years as a safety practitioner he previously worked at global asset manager Schroders plc and investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he was a founder member of the London Banks Health and Safety Forum.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Corporate Member of IOSH. His experience spans all aspects of health and safety management, including construction, fire safety, ergonomics, work at height, accident investigation, and OHSAS 18001 implementation and auditing.

Stacey is equally comfortable in the environmental and facilities management spheres. He has ISO 14001 experience and (when at Freshfields) was a founder member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance (LSA), a collaborative network of law firms committed to improving their sustainability. He has been an active member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and has recently achieved the BIFM Level 5 Award in Facilities Management.

Stacey’s experience and interests make him a fantastic appointment for us. He has a background in health and safety, sustainability and facilities management, a strong appreciation of service quality, and an inquiring mind. Like us, he shares the world view that good health and safety is a discipline that enables – rather than restricts – progress. I’m sure he will be a tremendous asset to help us grow our eLearning, training and consultancy operations.

I know Stacey is excited to join the IW team: he’s been a client and an advocate for us for over 15 years, and we’ve got to know each other well during that time.
