This comprehensive 4 hour training course covers the core competencies of the UK Resuscitation Council and is designed to instruct the students in the use of an AED. The approved Automated External Defibulator (AED) course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and provides candidates the confidence to know what to do in this type of emergency. Upon successful completion certification is valid for 1 year.
Course programme:
- The chain of survival
- Cardio pulmonary resuscitation
- Anatomy and physiology of the heart
- Safety considerations of defibrillation
- Automatic external defibrillator – practical scenarios
- Recovery position
It is recommended that this qualification should operate on a ratio of a maximum of 12 learners to 1 tutor
