The 2015 BIFM Awards now open for entries

The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) is now seeking entries from companies, teams and individuals keen to showcase their exemplary work under three overall themes, which will highlight the important role that FM plays in relation to business, the economy and society.

The three themes are:

  • People
  • Impact
  • Innovation

For the ‘People’ category, BIFM is looking for individuals, teams and organisations that actively invest in their people, who are cutting-edge in what they do and who lead and drive improvements.

The categories under this theme are as follows:

  • Rising Talent in Facilities Management
  • Facilities Manager of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • FM Team of the Year
  • Learning and Career Development

International Workplace’s Managing Director, David Sharp, will once again be Lead Judge this year for the Learning and Career Development category.

All entries will be considered as part of a robust judging process and the closing date for entries is 22 May 2015. Judging will then take place during June and July, with finalist being announced in August and a black-tie awards ceremony on 12 October.

Chair of the judges, Steve Gladwin, said:

“The BIFM Awards are the standout Awards within FM. Winning is an exceptional achievement and is recognition of the great work which is going on every day across the profession. Growing in stature year-on-year, the Awards are now very influential, and it is critical that we constantly assess the categories – ensuring they mirror the FM sector that they represent.

“The changes for 2015 are some of the biggest and most exciting to date, and looking to the awards ceremony in October there is already great anticipation from me, the judges and the wider FM profession as to who our winners will be.”

Full details on all award criteria and entry guidelines can be viewed on the new BIFM Awards website.
