The fire marshal training course will raises awareness of the dangers and risks associated with fire, and provides management with the opportunity to improve fire prevention practices and implement good fire safety and management.

This course will insure learners leave with the knowledge, skills and abilities to manage fire risk competently and confidently, showing due diligence regarding fire safety and the required training of their staff by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

This course is suitable for anyone with fire marshal responsibilities,  this can include deputies, safety representatives and anyone responsible for fire safety within a workplace.

Outline and content

Our fire marshal training is a half-day course, delivered via virtual classroom or face-to-face classroom by one of our qualified trainers.

During the fire marshal course, you will cover the following modules:

  • Understand how fire starts and how fire can spread.
  • Key hazards and risks of fires in the workplace.
  • Safe evacuation in the workplace.
  • Fire risk assessment and action plans.
  • Be able to implement fire controls.
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a Fire Marshal within your organisation.
  • How to use fire equipment

Prerequisites

Learners must be physically fit and able to carry out the practical elements of the course.

Course length

The duration of our fire marshal training course is half a day.

There is a recommendation of a maximum of 14 people per course.

Assessment

The fire marshal course is assessed with a multiple choice assessment.

Certification

Learners will receive a certificate of attendance.
