Additional date announced for Fire Safety Conference 2005

Due to unprecedented demand, the Fire Safety Conference 2005, taking place at the Strand Palace Hotel in central London on 19 October 2005, has completely sold out. Workplace Law Training will be repeating the conference one week later, and places are already selling fast.

The Fire Safety Conference 2005 looks in detail at changes to Fire Safety Legislation coming into effect in April 2006 and the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Workplace Law specialises in helping UK businesses get to grips with new health and safety legislation through our publications, in-house training courses and one-day networking events. We would like to invite you personally to join us for the repeated Fire Safety Conference taking place in London on 26 October 2005.

Who should attend?
An essential event for facilities and premises managers, chartered surveyors, architects, maintenance personnel, landlords and tenants, the conference provides detailed practical guidance on key issues including:

  • Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 and Amendments 1999
  • Disability Discrimination Act 2005
  • Proposed amendments to the Building Regulations: Part B
  • New case studies
  • and much more

This is the biggest single reform of fire safety legislation in nearly 35 years which will simplify the law for thousands of businesses while placing a greater focus on prevention. The new law consolidates existing fire legislation, and repeals the Fire Precautions Act 1971. At present fire safety laws are scattered across more than 70 pieces of legislation.

The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order improves fire safety by placing the responsibility for fire safety on the employer or 'responsible person' for that building or premises. He or she will be required to assess the risks of fire and take steps to reduce or remove them. It is essential that you understand your responsibilities under this new legislation.

Whether you are a past delegate seeking the latest up-to-date information or are new to Workplace Law Training, this is an essential networking conference that will give you all you need to know in just one-day.
