At a glance guides to asbestos and CDM

Simon Toseland, Head of Health and Safety at Workplace Law has compiled two handy guidance sheets covering asbestos and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007 Regulations).

The asbestos guide explains why asbestos is so dangerous and includes a handy image library to help identify where asbestos may be present.

The CDM regulations information sheet provides comprehensive guidance on the duties of clients and contractors regarding CDM, including how to appoint a CDM co-ordinator and their duties, as well as more details on carrying out risk assessments under CDM.

Says Simon: “These information sheets have been compiled to help guide readers through two important areas of health and safety in the construction, fit out and maintenance process.

“The guides supplement our existing fact sheets and white papers and we aim to expand this information in the future.”
