International Workplace celebrates success at Learning Technologies Awards

The International Workplace team was delighted to attend the Learning Technologies Awards 2018 last night, to celebrate being shortlisted in the category of ‘Best international learning platform implementation’. At a glamorous awards ceremony at Westminster Plaza hotel in London, we joined over 800 peers from the eLearning industry for an evening of celebration. It capped off a really great week for us, having also just celebrated our 23rd birthday.

With over 400 entrants, reaching the finals was a great achievement. We were recognised for our partnership with ADVETI – the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education Training Institute – helping them turn a loss-making classroom course programme into a profitable and commercially sustainable digital service, extending reach, cutting cost and enhancing security and reliability.

It’s not the first recognition we’ve received. We started developing eLearning in 2008, and won the Silver Award at the E-learning Age Awards 2011, the first of many accolades. Since then, we’ve gone on to become a leader in learning technologies, helping employers cut cost and save valuable time and resources by seamlessly integrating our technologies with theirs.

Said David Sharp, International Workplace’s MD:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be at the Learning Technologies Awards for the fifth time now, in recognition of the work we have done in the UAE, bringing a commercial course to market. We’ve created a solution that is highly beneficial to ADVETI, and will also benefit other clients who want an easy way to provide monitored content to their users. The team has worked fantastically hard to get to the awards tonight, and this is a real celebration of our success. We believe in the power of people – our own colleagues, and the people we work for – encapsulated in our strapline: It all starts with you.”

Siobhan Connolly, Curriculum specialist at ADVETI, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for this Learning Technologies Award, and I think in large part that is due to the fantastic working relationship we’ve had with International Workplace. The International Workplace team worked very hard with the ADVETI team here in Abu Dhabi. We’re very proud of the final project and know that this course will make immeasurable difference both to the regulator and to the people taking the course.”

The basis of our success with ADVETI stems from our Enterprise Services Platform (ESP) – a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering that facilitates secure access to eLearning content, monitors real-time learner progress, manages administration and billing processes, and helps businesses like yours create new revenue streams by unlocking the value in their content.
