International Workplace gains ISO 27001 accreditation
International Workplace has gained accreditation to the ISO 27001 Information Security standard, the global benchmark for managing information safely and securely.
The standard helps organisations to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to them by third parties such as clients and suppliers. It ensures a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information – covering people, processes and IT systems – by applying a recognised risk management process.
International Workplace has received a number of accolades for the simplicity and effectiveness of its learning delivery platform and course content, most recently as a finalist at the Learning Technologies Awards 2017, and for the i-FM.net Technology in Facilities Management Award 2018.
Attainment of ISO 27001 will give clients even greater assurance that the company’s approach to information security and management meets the same high standards as its technical products and services.
Commenting on the news, International Workplace’s Managing Director, David Sharp, said:
“This isn’t something that has happened overnight. We’ve been working to attain ISO 27001 for some time now, in parallel with rapid advances in the development of our SELMA technical platform, and our review of data privacy in line with the requirements of GDPR.
Everything has come together at once. We’re delighted to have seen our SELMA platform and IOSH Managing Safely eLearning course recognised at major industry awards, to now to have attained this globally recognised standard for information security and management. Recognition such as this matters greatly to our base of UK and international clients, who are seeking the highest levels of assurance when sharing or entrusring their data to us.
With a greater focus on data security across globe, our ISO 27001 accreditation will become a key differentiator in the selection criteria businesses place on new providers, and we aim to maintain our standing as a world class provider of training services."
