RICS and International Workplace publish fourth series of strategic FM case studies

This morning sees the launch of the fourth series of strategic case studies from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Authored by International Workplace, and now in its fourth series, the six case studies focus on FM brand delivery – from ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students at an international school, to the preservation and security of priceless artefacts in a national museum.

Launched at RICS’ London headquarters at Parliament Square this morning, the case studies are available electronically from International Workplace – click here for your copy. The subjects include:

  • How an FM provider has helped a national museum to maintain environmental and comfort controls for world class collections
  • The strategic role of FM in enabling a top international school in Thailand to keep its students safe and secure
  • Utilising FM and asset management to enable an English Borough Council to self-fund services
  • Using a ‘One Team’ approach for FM excellence
  • How a public–private partnership helped to deliver Olympic standard services to an international sporting event
  • Delivering integrated preventive guest room maintenance for thousands of hotel rooms in Singapore

David Sharp, Managing Director of International Workplace and co-author of the case studies, said:

David Sharp

“We were delighted to again be asked to author another series of case studies for RICS, showcasing some of the best work in our sector. Strategic partnership – in terms of both shared risk and reward – is one of the key themes, particularly when a company is relying on its FM service provider to be the face of their operations. From both a UK and international perspective this latest series of case studies showcase organisations who really understand the importance of facilities management as an enabler, and uncovered some fascinating examples of best practice.”
