ThinkFM 2014 to showcase findings of Farrell Review

ThinkFM 2014 is now only two weeks away, and with a programme full of exceptional speakers, this year’s conference is set to surpass the achievements of previous years.

Delegates attending this year’s event, which takes place on Tuesday 13 May at Kings Place, London, will be amongst the first to hear the key findings of the recently-published Farrell Review in the session titled ‘The Farrell Review of architecture and the built environment’, led by Max Farrell, Partner at Farrells, and David Sharp, Managing Director, Workplace Law.

With a remit to implement lessons learnt nationally and further afield, maximising the economic value of good design, the intention of the Review is to hear the views of everyone with an interest in, and better understand the economic impact of, the built environment.

In this invaluable session, Max and David will outline the key findings of the Government consultation, explain the impact of the findings on the UK facilities management sector, and set out recommendations for the role of design in the built environment.

In addition, Chris Kane, CEO BBC Commercial Projects will discuss why FM professionals must step outside the comfort zone of tactical service delivery to develop strategic skills as trusted advisors to the business in his session, ‘A new direction for FM: Raising the game to support the workplace of the future’.

ThinkFM 2014 will also include Peter Cheese CEO, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), who will deliver the session: ‘Trends in the workplace and working environment – impact on people, practices and workplace design’.
