Workplace Law ready to pedal their way to glory

Monday 7 July will see the Tour de France make its way from Cambridge to London as we are treated to a cycling spectacle during the Tour's three-day visit to Britain.

This may be the main event, but please don’t forget about our cycling efforts taking place during the same period as we embark on Le Ride Week! Between us, the Workplace Law team originally set out to cycle the distance of the UK leg of the Tour de France (569 miles) from 5-12 July. However, after a number of extremely courageous pledges, we will now be cycling a total of 1,325 miles!

We now have enough miles pledged to reach stage 12 of the Tour in Bourg en Bresse! Unfortunately we won’t be following Froome and co across the border, but our miles will be completed across the capital, in the Cambridge office and in various other locations as the team prepare to get out on their bikes at every possible opportunity.

The idea of Le Ride Week excites some members of the team, scares others and utterly terrifies a few! Despite that fear, every Workplace Law employee has vowed to take part as we look to raise money for a very special cause.

We are aiming to raise £3,000 for our chosen charity for 2014, Global Generation, and would be extremely grateful for any support in reaching our fundraising target.

Throughout the week, we will also be running a series of activities, including a time trial event in the office on the exercise bikes and an evening bike ride after work on Tuesday 8 July. As ever we will be updating our social media pages throughout the week, so keep an eye out for that!
