Workplace Law wants your views on the CDM Consultation

With four weeks to go until the HSE’s CDM Consultation deadline expires, Workplace Law is urging all those with experience in construction projects to submit their views. Whether large or small, the HSE wants to hear from everyone within construction as to their plans for the CDMC role and the Principal Designer, and what some of the key changes it is proposing will mean for businesses across the sector.

Workplace Law will be submitting its own response to the consultation in the next few weeks, but we’d love to hear your views first. Last year we surveyed some of our clients about the CDM Regulations, before the Consultation with the HSE’s proposals was published.

We received some interesting responses, with the overwhelming view (87% in agreement) that an independent CDM Coordinator made some or a significant contribution to health and safety risk management in a project.

Download the consultation here, or have your say in our forum, and we will keep you posted as to our official response to the Consultation.
