21 years of International Workplace
Last week saw us celebrate the 21st anniversary of the launch of International Workplace on 16 November 1995.
A reception held at the International Workplace Executive Centre in London was attended by 80 invited guests, including some of the original team behind the company’s early success.
Starting life in a back-bedroom in Cambridge as Asset Information Limited, the company has seen quite a few changes over the years. Founder and Managing Director David Sharp noted at the launch that in 1995 John Major was the UK’s Prime Minister, Robson & Jerome were ‘top of the pops’ for their version of ‘Up on the Roof’, and that the fastest way to connect to the internet was via a 28.8 modem.
Since then we’ve gone on to become an established international training provider specialising in health and safety, environmental management, human resources, leadership and management, accredited by professional bodies including CIPD, IEMA, ILM, IOSH and NEBOSH. We’re proud to have won some awards along the way, and to have built a loyal client base of some of the world’s leading companies who value us for the quality of work we do for them.
For the reception last week we produced a fun picture book covering our first 21 years in business for everyone to take away with them. If you’d like to see a copy, we’ve made it available as a pdf download especially for you.
Happy reading and – as our strapline says – here’s to the future!
