Workplace Law MD appears on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire

David Sharp, managing director of Workplace Law appeared on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on Thursday 3 December 2009 to talk about how the Cambridge-based company has defied the recession by posting its best ever sales growth and acquiring new commercial premises in the heart of London’s busy legal district.

Sales have risen by more than 25% in the eleven months to November, with growth set to hit 30% by year end.

Explains Sharp: “Last week we completed the acquisition of commercial premises in Clerkenwell, London, after securing growth funding from Barclays.”

The new 4,000 sq ft premises will be fitted out to create a custom-built facility – the Workplace Law Executive Centre, London – providing a base for all the company’s training and consulting activities in the capital.

He adds: “We are delighted to have received backing from Barclays to do this deal, which will be transformational for our business. More than 80% of the training we provide takes place in London, so it makes sound business sense to own our own premises there.”

Dean Tofts, Barclays Relationship Director, Cambridge, said: “We were delighted to support Workplace Law Group with the acquisition of its own commercial premises in London. The Group has shown a strong performance in a difficult economic environment which is a testament to the strength of its management team”.
